Limited Warranty

All warranty requests require an RMA number. To check if your part is still eligible for a warranty, start your warranty claim here (a "Claim").

In accordance with this limited warranty policy (the "Warranty"), Expert Diesel Parts offers a 12-month warranty on most parts, starting from the original date of purchase. Certain parts, such as electrical components, sensors, bolts, long blocks, short blocks and aftermarket parts, may be limited to a 6-month or 3-month warranty. To check if your part is still eligible, check here. The Warranty covers replacement of a failed part due to defects in material or workmanship and includes the cost of shipping the replacement part. The Warranty does not cover labor, towing, shop fees, or any incidental, consequential or related costs. For clarity, this is a limited warranty as defined under the Uniform Commercial Code and not a "money-back guarantee."

What the Warranty DOES Cover:

  • Defects in workmanship and components (manufacturing related defects).

What the Warranty DOES NOT Cover:

The following conditions are not considered failures due to defects in material or workmanship and are not covered under warranty

  • Improper installation – Parts must be installed according to manufacturer specifications, industry standards, and/or those specified by the vehicle, equipment, or engine manufacturer. Failures resulting from incorrect installation, user error, or mishandling will void the warranty.
  • Tampering or disassembly – Any modification, tampering, or disassembly of a product voids the warranty.
  • Fuel-related contamination – Damage caused by water, debris, excessive carbon buildup, alternative fuel, or other fuel contaminants—or the use of non-recommended fuel types or additives are excluded from coverage.
  • Oil contamination or starvation – Failures due to improper lubrication, oil contamination, or lack of oil flow are excluded from coverage.
  • Physical damage – The Warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, impact, dropping, excessive force, overtightening, or improper handling.
  • Performance modifications – Parts installed in modified engines, including emissions deletes, defeat tuning, or aftermarket power enhancements, are excluded from coverage.
  • Non-standard fuel usage – The Warranty does not apply if the product is used with non-recommended fuel types or additives. Reference your equipment's fuel usage specifications to ensure compliance.
  • Shop fees, labor, or towing costs – The Warranty covers replacement parts only and does not include any amount or type of reimbursement, including, without limitation, for labor, diagnostic time, towing, or related expenses.

Important Installation Reminder: Before installing any new fuel system components, including fuel injectors, pumps, or filters, you must ensure that your fuel tank and all related fuel line components are thoroughly cleaned and free from contamination. Failure to properly replace or clean these components properly can result in premature part failure due to fuel contamination, which is not covered under Warranty. Taking these steps before installation will help ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Warranty Process:

Step 1: Initiate a Warranty Request: All Warranty requests require an RMA number and a detailed description of the issue. To check if your Warranty eligibility, start your Claim here.

  • Step 1B: Submit Required Documentation.
    • Provide a detailed explanation of the issue.
    • Including supporting documentation, such as test reports, images, and any other relevant details to help us process your Claim faster.
    • Failure to provide sufficient information may delay processing or result in denial of the Claim.

Step 2: Pre-Approval Review - Wait for Your Request To Be Approved: Once submitted, our team will review your Claim. If your request is pre-approved, you will receive an email containing:

  • Return instructions
  • The return address
  • Your issued RMA number

Step 3: Prepare/Ship Your Part:

  • Print the RMA Slip linked in your confirmation email and include it in the package with your warranty return.
  • Use a prepaid, insured, and trackable shipping method such as UPS, FedEx, or USPS to return the item.
  • Save your return shipping receipt. If your warranty is approved, we will reimburse the cost of the return label.

Step 4: Inspection & Review: Once we receive your return, please allow 4-6 business days for inspection.

Step 5: Warranty Results

  • Step 5A: If Warranty Is Approved:
    • If your Claim meets Warranty criteria, a replacement part will be arranged.
    • If you placed an additional order for a replacement part to avoid downtime, please include this information in Step 1B, so we can issue a refund for the additional order.
  • Step 5B: If Warranty Is Denied
    • If no manufacturer defect is found during testing, the Claim will be denied. You will be responsible for providing a UPS return shipping label to have the product sent back to you. Within 21 days of us notifying you of the Claim denial, you must email contact@expertdieselparts.com a prepaid UPS shipping label with "Warranty Return Label" in the subject line. We are not obligated to return the product until a UPS shipping label is provided within the timeframe specified in accordance with this paragraph.
    • If we do not receive a return shipping label within strict accordance with this paragraph, we will deem the parts to be intentionally abandoned ("Abandoned Property"). At that point, we will have full discretion to dispose of, repurpose, or otherwise handled the Abandoned Property as we see fit. By submitting a Warranty request, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.

Important Warranty Notes:

  • All warranty claims are subject to verification of the product’s serial numbers and unique markings. Please ensure that the item you return for warranty processing matches the product originally purchased from us.
  • Replacement parts or refunds will be processed only after the warranty evaluation has been completed in full. Under no circumstances will a replacement part be sent before the warranty process is finalized.
  • Use of non-compliant fuel types, including but not limited to high-sulfur diesel or improperly labeled off-road diesel, may void the Warranty. Customers must ensure compliance with ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD) standards as specified for their equipment.

Limitation of Liability:

Under no circumstances shall Expert Diesel Parts be liable for incidental, indirect, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use any part purchased. This includes, but is not limited to, labor costs, towing fees, rental vehicles, shop fees, loss of income, or damage to other vehicle components. Our warranty covers the replacement of the defective part only. We are not liable for damages arising from vehicle modifications, emissions deletes, or unauthorized tuning. Warranty coverage is void if the part has been misused, improperly installed, exposed to fuel contamination, or subjected to inadequate maintenance. The Warranty is limited to the original buyer and is non-transferrable.

Acceptance of Warranty Terms: By keeping and using the product, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Limited Warranty. If you do not agree with these terms, you may return the unused product in its original packaging in accordance with our Return Policy.
