This website is operated by JP USA LLC DBA Expert Diesel Parts. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Expert Diesel Parts.


This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes how and why Expert Diesel Parts and its subsidiaries and affiliated companies and/or brands (collectively, “Expert Diesel Parts,” “company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) that might collect, store, use, and/or share (“process”) your information when you use our services, including without limitation when you visit https://expertdieselparts.com/ (the “Website”), and/or applications available at the Website, and/or when you purchase something from us,  and/or engage with us in other related ways (collectively, the “Services”). Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.


1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us or is collected automatically when you express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you visit or otherwise participate in activities on the Services, or when you contact us, outlined below. Additionally, as you browse the Website, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically collected information as “Device Information”.

Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”) you disclose to us.

The personally identifiable information (“PII”), which may specifically identify an individual or business, that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the Services, the choices you make, and the products and features you use, including but not limited to, making purchases on the Website. Non-Personally Identifying Information (“Non-PII”) automatically collected.

We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Services. This non-personally identifying information (“Non-PII”) does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics and history, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, geolocation, behavioral consumer profile, information about how and when you use our Services, time spent on the Website and third party sites, pages visited, links clicked, payment methods used, the pages that led you to our Services, sand other technical information. This information is primarily used to maintain the security and operation of our Services, for our internal analytics and reporting purposes, and for assisting us in providing you with target marketing and promotional content, including, without limitation, related to your order. 

The information we collect includes:

  • payment information. In most events, your payment for an order is processed by a third-party payment provider (e.g., Shopify, Inc., https://shopify.com). You agree to abide by and be subject to the terms, conditions, and privacy policies of any and all third-party providers selected, in our sole discretion, which may change from time to time, in furtherance of providing the Services. We are not responsible for content on any third-party provider’s platform or on any other site outside of the Website. In limited events, we may collect payment data to process certain payments, such as your credit card number; however, we do not store any payment data.

3. WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We also may need to share your personal information with third parties in the following situations:

We utilize Facebook for metadata collection to enhance our services, improve user experience, and optimize marketing efforts. This data is processed under Facebook’s Limited Data Use framework, which ensures compliance with applicable privacy regulations. The metadata we collect through Facebook does not include personally identifiable information (PII) such as names, addresses, phone numbers, or email addresses. Instead, we use this data solely for aggregated insights, ad performance measurement, and audience engagement analysis. Our use of Facebook metadata aligns with Facebook’s Limited Data Use policy, which applies additional privacy safeguards for users. We do not sell, share, or distribute Facebook metadata for third-party profiling or unrelated marketing purposes. 5. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information. 


6. DO WE COLLET INFORMATION FROM MINORS?

We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under eighteen (18) years of age. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least eighteen (18) years old or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor at least thirteen (13) years old and you consent to such minor dependent’s use of the Services. Children under the age of 18 years of age must not use and must promptly exit the Services. However, please note that this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing of your personal information before its withdrawal nor, when applicable law allows, will it affect the processing of your personal information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.

8. CALIFORNIA RIGHTS

Any terms defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (the “CCPA”), have the same meaning when used in this Section 8

    4. Request we disclose certain information to you about our collection, use, disclosure, and sale of your Personal Information over the past twelve (12) months. We do not sell any of your Personal Information nor transfer your personal data to third parties in exchange for payment. However, as noted below and in our Privacy Policy [Add hyperlink to PP], we may provide your personal data to third party partners, such as advertising partners, analytics providers, and social networks, who assist us in advertising our products and services to you. In certain situations, we are not required to delete your Personal Information, such as to services requested by you, to comply with a legal obligation, to engage in research, to secure our Websites or other online services, or to otherwise use your Personal Information internally in a lawful manner that is compatible with the context in which you provided the information.

9. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES

Please note that we do not alter our Website’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) signal from your browser. Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a DNT feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Policy. 


10. HOW TO REVIEW, UPDATE, OR DELETE THE DATA WE COLLECT FROM YOU?

Under applicable law, you or someone legally authorized to act on your behalf (your “authorized agent”), may make a request to access, correct or delete your PII. You may, under applicable law, also make a request to know or delete PII on behalf of your child (however, please note, we do not knowingly collect any PII of anyone under the age of eighteen (18). We will only use your information provided in the request to verify the requestor’s identity or authority to make said request. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.


11. GOVERNING LAW

We control and operate the Website and provide the Services from the State of California. The Services is not intended to subject us to the laws or jurisdiction of any state, country, or territory other than that of California. We do not represent or warrant that the Services is appropriate for use in any particular jurisdiction.
